Hatch Warren Nature Group

Begun in 2014, the aim of the group was to turn two adjacent areas of previously regularly mown grass into areas rich in wildflowers attracting butterflies, bees, birds and much more. St Marks Meadow and Woodbury Ride are close to St Marks Primary School. There are now some 8 identified small sites in Hatch Warren with a focus on grassland although there are surrounding trees on some of the sites.

We are a community group bringing nature back into Hatch Warren for people to enjoy. We want to encourage all ages to experience and enjoy our wildflowers and the wildlife that need them for food.

The group try to meet to meet or work on second Sunday of the month. Work parties occur between September and March with normally up to 6 sessions in that period. Typically meeting at St Marks Meadow, which is set on a bank in front of St Marks C of E Primary School above the junction of Danebury and Woodbury Road.
