Dummer Green Group

We are residents of Dummer with a passion for enhancing biodiversity and encouraging appreciation of wildlife within our village. Our volunteers employ meadow management techniques to maintain and enhance our local wildflower meadow – as well as being an attractive feature this is a contribution to the vital work of promoting patchworks of land for support the threatened pollinators upon whom we all depend for our food supply.

We also arrange events to celebrate our local wildlife, and encourage appreciation and custodianship by the next generation – from the dawn chorus walks, to pond dipping, ‘mothing’ evenings and bat walks.
