Help us run more events for nature

Natural Basingstoke wants to help more people connect with nature across Basingstoke and Deane. Our events are one of the best ways to do this — from Green Week activities and wildlife gardening workshops to school talks, Scout sessions, community fairs and family-friendly nature activities.

We are looking for volunteers who can help us plan, organise and deliver events across the borough. You do not need to be an ecology expert. We would love to hear from people who are friendly, organised, practical, creative or simply willing to lend a hand.

Event volunteers might help with:

planning event ideas and schedules;
contacting venues, speakers or partner organisations;
setting up and packing down stalls;
welcoming visitors and answering basic questions;
helping with children’s activities or nature-based learning;
supporting school, Scout or community talks;
taking photos or creating social media content;
helping us improve how we promote and evaluate our events.

We are especially keen to hear from anyone with experience in event planning, community engagement, education, project management, communications, schools outreach or volunteer coordination. With the right support, we could take our events programme to the next level and reach many more people.
