Birch Bash with BCV

Join our friends at BCV in Hook Common!

Our first event for this programme working on one of HiWWT’s reserves in the Hook area, which is blessed with several areas of rare heathland habitat. Today’s job is to cut back the birch trees that are perpetually trying to invade Hook Common. By cutting back the birch we will ensure that this part of The Common remains in good condition, preserving the specialist heathland flora and fauna.
