Sherfield Park Work Party
We will meet by Sherfield Park Community Centre, RG27 0FP, at 10am and finish around midday. Gloves, tools, and tea/coffee will be provided, but please bring your own drinking water and wear sensible footwear (preferably wellies)!
This session we will focus on opening up the waterways by removing the willow saplings and reeds that are choking up the waterways by the culverts. This first session will be run by Charlie from BDBC’s Ranger Services Team, and Niamh (from Natural Basingstoke) who has kindly agreed to become the volunteer group leader. Someone from the Ranger Services Team will be attending the first few sessions while we’re getting up and running, and once the group is happy with doing all the various activities, Niamh will be taking over. Sessions will run once a month, most likely going forward (after this first session) it will be the 4th Sunday of the month.
