Basingstoke Wildlife Watch – Big Garden Birdwatch 2024
An event from our friends at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.
Learn and discover the different types of birds visiting the park during the winter. Join in the national citizen science survey ‘The Big Garden Birdwatch’ and help count the number and species of bird in an urban park.
This is being run as an event in conjunction with the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch. Interpretive material re. this to be available during the event, as will details of future Basingstoke watch Group events
This is a wildlife watch event for children aged 5-15 years. Children must be accompanied by adults.
A walk about the municipal park to look for wildlife, particularly birds, associated with The Loddon, woodland, scrub and other riverine habitats, associated events taking place en route; in conjunction with the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch event.
Meeting point
At the seating area between ‘The Boat House’ and public conveniences.
