BCV – Scything at Cliddesden
Join our friends at Basingstoke Conservation Volunteers!
For several years, we have helped the parishioners manage the churchyard at St Leonard’s Church in Cliddesden. It has a small meadow with grassland flora of sufficient quality to be rated a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC) by Hampshire County Council.
Cutting the meadow at the correct time and frequency is important to maintain the mix of flowers and grasses that it supports. We are returning once again, to cut the meadow and carry out some selective scrub control.
Tea/Coffee, refreshments and biscuits will be provided by the church.
